Staff members at St Christopher’s Hospice hold a day-after-death (DAD) meeting that provides an opportunity for those closest to the deceased to return to the hospice. Although it is acknowledged that this type of meeting usually only takes place in hospices, and these guidelines are specific to St Christopher’s Hospice, it is hoped that readers will learn about the type of information that loved ones require after a death and incorporate that information within their practice.
