Many care homes employ someone to organise activities for residents. The phrase ‘care home activities’ often conjures up images of people playing bingo and word games. Although activities such as these may be useful, much more potential and possibility is available to carers attempting to create meaningful activity for groups of care home residents. Activity coordinators are important members of the care home team. If they can be creative and think inventively, they may change the experience and lives of residents spending the end of their lives in their care.
